Physical Exams
At Animal Care Clinic we strongly believe that an annual physical exam is the
best preventative care for your pet. A physical exam consists of thorough examination
of the ears, mouth/throat, teeth, legs, skin/hair, abdomen, heart and lungs. Dogs and
cats progress through their life stages much faster than humans. Most people have heard
that one human year is equivalent to seven dog years. Consider, however, that when your
dog or cat is one-year-old, they have all their permanent teeth, have gone through
puberty and have grown to their full mature size. At one-year-old, dogs and cats are
at the same stage of life as a twenty-year-old person. A year may not seem like a long
time between physicals, but it could make all the difference when it comes to your quick
developing pet. An annual physical exam is extremely important in prevention, early
detection and timely treatment of conditions that can threaten your pet’s health.
At Animal Care Clinic, we believe that a yearly physical exam will contribute to a
longer, happier life for your pet.

Vaccinations

with vaccinations.

Spay and Neuter
By spaying/neutering your pet, you take an active role in the wellness of the pet
population as a whole. More than 4 million pets are euthanized in U.S. animal shelters
each year simply because they have no home. Many are puppies and kittens less than
6-months-old. Help stop this needless loss of life; spay and neuter your pet!

Dentistry
At Animal Care Clinic we believe that dental care is another vital component to
the health of your pet. We are your pet’s dentist, and if problems arise we have the
capability to keep your pet comfortable, pain-free and healthy. At our clinic, we offer
full scale dental cleaning, polishing, dental radiology, extractions, and restorations.
We recommend that dogs and cats have dental examinations twice a year for detections
of dental problems. Most pets need to have their teeth cleaned by the age of 3-years-old,
for some, cleaning should be done earlier.
Did you know…85% of dogs and cats over the age of five are affected by periodontal
disease? This figure equates to over 90 million dogs and cats. In addition to eventual
tooth loss, periodontal disease can lead to infection in the heart, liver, and kidneys
causing premature death.

Hospitalization
If there is a need for major medical care, we assure you that we use the latest
technology and procedures to care for your pet. We want to make you pet’s hospital stay
as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We know that your pet would rather be home,
so we give him as much love and attention as possible to reduce the “homesick blues”.
Medications
The wrong mediations at the wrong time can be very detrimental to your pet’s health.
Always follow the directions on your pet’s medication precisely; do not save them for
future use. Never give your pet human pain killers or other human medication – animals
biochemistry is different than humans, some commonly used human medications can be
deadly. Use only medicine that has been prescribed by a veterinarian.
KEEP ALL MEDICATIONS OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN & PETS.
